A fair point, well made. I don’t expect to earn any money from Medium, I do it for fun. Surely if you want to be paid for writing, apply for writing jobs? That’s what I did. Going freelance is inherently risky. All respect to people with the guts to do it, but the whole point is it’s not guaranteed money.
