Did you know that it’s actually pretty rare to have just one autoimmune disease? Turns out they’re like buses — you wait forever for one and then three turn up at once.

Lupus is an autoimmune disease, with which I was diagnosed in February. I was still trying to come to terms with that diagnosis when I found out I also have antiphospholipid syndrome, a blood disorder that causes abnormal clotting. A day after getting that diagnosis I found out I have acquired angioedema. This wonderful condition causes me to have an allergic reaction without coming into contact with any allergens.
