An Article Where I Ask For Money
Hey, at least I’m upfront about it
We all know there is nothing worse than chuggers who say “don’t worry, I’m not asking you for money!” before doing just that. So I’m going to be very clear with you: the goal of this post is to get you to part with some of your hard-earned cash.
I’ll jump right to it: one of my best friends is having a really, really hard time and needs financial help.
She recently escaped from a relationship with a narcissistic abuser. I can’t go into a lot of detail because there is an active police investigation ongoing. But as a result of this person’s actions, my friend has been left in a huge amount of debt.
This has been compounded by severe ill health and the nature of work in her area, which comprises of short-term, low-paid contracts with little to no job security. The cut to Universal Credit, the biggest overnight cut to social welfare in history, was the final straw and now she is at serious risk of losing her home, as well as being taken to court over outstanding debts.
