Completely agree. I'm still friends with colleagues from two jobs previously. The idea that colleagues can never, ever be friends is so weird to me. We're deciding they must all be bad people because they have a job? Like you and everyone else?

Even if no close friendships result, the idea of going to work and never talking to anyone else sounds miserable.
