I absolutely refuse to change the way I write to suit the USA. Neither version of the language is “incorrect” after all, and Medium, like the internet in general, is global.

That said, I work with writers who use US English and I have never, ever seen “potentials”. And I work in education, it’s a phrase we use a lot.
