I Bet You Didn’t Know This…
You probably didn’t care either, but that’s a different matter
Surprise! It’s another self-indulgent post. I’ve seen the writing prompt “10 things you didn’t know about me” posted a few times, most notably posted by The Sober Vegan Yogi.
There’s nothing I love more than flinging myself at a bandwagon that’s half a mile down the road already except for maybe talking about myself because really, isn’t that everyone’s favourite topic? So, here you go, the 10 things you didn’t know and didn’t care to know, about me, including some of the weirdest things I’ve licked (it’s not how it sounds, I promise).
1. I have a 5-star rating on TripAdvisor
I’m not listed as an attraction, though frankly, I should be.
I wear several hats: writer, editor, hair model and tour guide. The pandemic pretty much put the kibosh on that part of my career, but I still hope there’ll be a resurgence in the industry — showing people around my home city is fun! And apparently, I’m pretty good at it:
2. I’ve been in a music video
It was for ‘We Danced Together’ by The Rakes (RIP). It wasn’t a modelling gig, I just answered a casting call for fans of the band to appear in one of their videos. I loved The Rakes! Blink and you’ll miss me.
3. I’ve been with my boyfriend for six years
There or thereabouts, anyway. Defying gender-based stereotypes, I’m rubbish with anniversaries and we don’t really celebrate. Neither of us is particularly lovey-dovey, but we do occasionally appear in public together ;)
