I don't get why your husband couldn't have done any of this.

I was the one who rushed away from work, apologizing as I walked out the door to then scoop up my child from daycare when she was sick. I was the one sitting in a small room holding a coughing child, waiting for a pediatrician to tell me to go home and wait out another viral cold.
