I don’t think it’s terrible advice. I haven’t blocked any writers because I’m jealous of them, but I blocked loads of models because it was disheartening to the point of damaging my mental health to fixate on all the jobs they were booking that I wasn’t. If anything is making you unhappy, cut it out. Of course, maybe this writer wasn’t thinking about self-care, but they accidentally made a decent point.
