If Charles won't step in over such an egregious erosion of human rights, he provides neither check nor balance. It's fine, if baffling to me, if you want to be a royalist, but I wish people wouldn't ascribe to them qualities that they simply do not have. The Royals aren't these noble saviours here to defend democracy. They only care about themselves, same as the politicians.
