If you're this concerned with accuracy, you should put right a few mistruths in your article.
The "UK" didn't vote to leave the EU. England and Wales did. Northern Ireland voted majority remain and Scotland was almost entirely remain in the votes.
Secondly, the EU referendum only had 72% turnout, so far from even the whole eligible electorate voted leave. Not to mention all those too young to vote.
Also unless I've had a TBI I didn't know about, the vote was in 2016.
