I’m British so technically it’s a prison, but curation prison just doesn’t have the same ring to it. Anyway.

When I first heard of curation jail, I didn’t believe it existed. Being new and not having had anything chosen for further distribution, I just assumed these people weren’t getting curated because they weren’t very good, or didn’t have enough of a presence yet, or both.

That may well still be the case for some people, but eventually, I did start getting curated. It wasn’t every article, but maybe every other article. Some topics were a given — cats and true crime were always distributed. I think there was an element of auto-curation as well since everything was reliably distributed precisely two hours after publication.

That was up until the middle of last month. My last distributed article was published on 11 January. Since then nothing, nada, nichts, zilchio. Was it something I said? Before anyone points to my rabble-rousing Feedium article, this situation pre-dates that.

Since then, there have been cats and crime, but still nothing. Given the pattern I was used to, I lose all hope after two hours, three tops. But it’s got me thinking, if there’s auto-curation it figures there’s auto-edit blocking too. Every action has an equal…
