I’ve never been rejected from a publication, but I like instant gratification; sometimes I’ll self-publish just because I want it out there now.

Unfortunately, my favourite publications to write for now have fewer than followers than I do, so it’s probably not extending my reach as much as it could have done in the past, but I’ll still use them.
