Maybe apps like Hinge (I think it's Hinge), where the woman has to make the first move, are the way forward. It's certainly unfair for it to always be the man initiating, and unfair if you're a woman and get criticised for being too forward if you ask a man out yourself. These old fashioned rules do no favours for anyone.
