Maybe she enjoys her skin care routine? Just because you don't understand it, that doesn't make it bad. I'm the same age as your wife and love my fancy skin care. The fact that you ask whether women are held to higher standard than men makes you sound incredibly naive at best. You cannot possibly be unaware how much pressure there is on women to look good. I just don't believe it.
