Nothing wrong with the word utilise when it’s applied correctly, imo.

…u’re in school and teacher likes you to use big words to prove you learned something along the way. But if your school days are behind you — just say use. Less puffery.

Nothing wrong with the word utilise when it’s applied correctly, imo. The problem is people use it as a synonym for “use” when it’s not!
