Thank you for writing about this respectfully. I would have had no problem with this "debate" if it had been people politely pointing out that excessive highlighting makes articles harder for them to read. I'm sure we'd all have sympathy for that.

Unfortunately, it kicked off with name-calling and cod-psychology (spare me your uninformed psychological assessment of someone you've never met) and somehow got worse from there. Had to unfollow quite a few people.
