The idea of "your genes living on" is repellent to me. What makes any random parent so special that the world needs their DNA? Nothing.

Even worse when they're knowingly passing on inheritable diseases with their "legacy". I come from a line of depressives; now with connective tissue disorder and an autoimmune disease, my DNA dies with me, and all the better for it.
