The “sChoOl ShooTerS aRe MenTalLy iLl” argument really drives me mad (literally, apparently). I’m mentally ill and it’s never once crossed my mind to shoot a load of kids, and I can’t bloody stand the little blighters.

Oh, and even if the thought did cross my mind I couldn’t make it a reality because I wouldn’t even know where to start trying to get a gun. Not like you can buy them in Tesco.

People always make the same argument regarding knife crime in the UK: yes, it’s a problem. Can you kill dozens of people within seconds with a knife though? Of course you fucking can’t. You can run from knives and you can’t start stabbing someone to death until you’ve finished stabbing the first person to death. The comparison to the automatic weapons the US allows is non-existent.
