The thing is, she knows. She has a mirror in her house, she had to buy new clothes. The fact that she has become morbidly obese has not escaped her notice. So it becomes worth telling her if she doesn’t know that obesity is harmful to health, and that seems unlikely.

I’m sure she’ll know you mean well though, so I wouldn’t worry too much about losing a friend.
