The Weird Vaccine Side Effect No One is Talking About

This stinks

In all likelihood, no one is talking about this because I’m the only one this happened to, but it was weird enough that I wanted to share and see if maybe I’m not alone.

So, all day the day after my booster vaccine, I could smell fish. Obviously, at first, I assumed someone in a neighbouring flat was cooking fish. I live in a Victoria mansion block, built circa 18.60, and the walls here are paper thin. Smells, and sounds, travel easily.

So far, so normal. I thought it was a bit weird that the smell lasted all day. I mean, even if someone had microwaved fish (the most egregious of all crimes), the smell should have dissipated after a few hours. I had a scented candle burning, to not much effect. Worst of all, the smell seemed to follow me around wherever I went.

Still, not too out of the ordinary, but this is where I got weird, at least for me. My boyfriend, who I live with, couldn’t smell anything. Which was not weird in itself, but what he said next piqued my interest.

He’d smelt fish all day a couple of days prior when I hadn’t been able to smell anything at all. That day? The day after his booster jab.
