This cannot be correct. I'm a professional writer and I would very much be asking my boss for a raise if I was making $100 a month!!! Would be a bit shit for 36-hour week, imo.

Even among freelancers, the profession wouldn't exist if 90% of journalists weren't getting paid enough to eat.
