This is a little strange to me. The guy was undeniably acting like a bellend (people playing video or music out loud in public makes me murderously angry) but I don’t see what his race had to do with it.

Perhaps, as Bonnie said, you were making a point about interracial relations, but for me at least, you could have been a bit clearer in your intent.
