“You want to live well in the future, sacrifice the present, if you want to live well now then be aware that your future will be bad.”

There's also a popular saying: "tomorrow never comes". Honestly that quote makes zero sense, because we can only ever exist in the present. So by that logic you can never, ever spend money because you're waiting for a future that doesn't, by default, ever come.
