Sorry, but if I read one more article with a clickbaity headline about how much money the author made that forces you to endure ten fucking paragraphs of prelude before they finally spit it out, I’m going to find Ev Williams and punch him the face for creating this hellsite in the first place.
(I jest, I like it here really)
Especially since when they do finally get to the point it’s always a hackneyed bait-and-switch:
“Lol, it was $1.19 because all those views were external!”
I am so fucking bored of it, so I thought I’d start an honest conversation around earnings on Medium.
My article wasn’t anywhere near viral by the way; I think the threshold for that is 40,000 views, and the article in question is currently on 3.6K views and 1.5K reads, having been published in August 2021.
It does make me wonder how much I could earn if I did get 40,000 views though!
